Hi there, to prevent/avoid stroke, first you have to identify the risk of stroke that you have so you can modify the risk. The risk includes, high blood pressure, diabetes mellitus, heart disease, high cholsterol, cigarrete smoking and mini stroke (transient ischemic attack). You have to control your blood sugar level, your blood pressure and cholesterol. Treat your heart disease (if any). If you have mini stroke, make sure you visit your GP, he/she will prescribe you with appropriate medication (blood thinning drug, drug to control your hypertension, diabetes and high cholsterol). Stop smoking. Take balanced diet. Exercise and get healthy.
